Active Sessions

Active Users

BIPLUS lets Administrators check who is logged in at any time, which application they are logged into (Reporter, Admin, OpenReport, StaticReport), where they are logged in from (IP Address), their login time and also the ability to terminate the session if needed. Click on Active User option in Admin ⇒ Active Sessions menu. See image below.

This will open the Active Users dialog for you (Administrator).

The above dialog shows which user is currently logged in, from which IP location and from which interface. It also displays when the user was logged into BIPLUS and their last login activity time. If you want to forcefully terminate the session of any logged user then you can use the Kill Session button to do that. Just select the user whose session you want to terminate and click on the Kill Session button. This might be desirable where concurrent licensing is deployed and the site is at its limit for concurrent sessions and a new session cannot be established before another one is terminated.

Active Data Sources

Active Datasources work pretty much the same as Active Users does. When a report is run against any data-source then the data-source status becomes active. The Active Datasources dialog can be accessed from Admin ⇒ Active Session menu.

This opens the Active Datasources dialog, which is used to view information about active data sources. It shows the type of datasource, its name and status of that data-source(Active, Idle). You can also view when the data source connection was created and when it was last accessed.

Administrator users can disconnect the database connection using the Close Connection button.

Active ETL Processes

The Active ETL Processes tab shows currently running ETL processes and their related information. This can be opened from Admin ⇒ Active Session.

In the following image, you can see the ETL Process ID, ETL Task Name, Start Time and other technical information.

The Kill Process button allows you to stop currently running process.
